Artist Statement

"Faces and figures are a source of unending fascination to me. I appreciate the intricate details that comprise human form, but most of all I am passionate about how the parts come together as a whole to evoke the essence of the subject and tell a story about their lives."

Biography

Holly Bedrosian was born in Massachusetts in 1975, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in physics from the College of the Holy Cross in 1997. She worked as an engineer until March of 2007, at which point she changed careers to become a self-employed artist.

Holly Bedrosian’s work has been exhibited at National and International exhibitions including the Art Renewal Center International Salon, the Salmagundi Club Annual Juried Painting and Sculpture Exhibition, the American Artists Professional League Grand National, The Richeson 75: International Figure/Portrait Competition, the Colored Pencil Society of America International Exhibition, the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Annual Open Juried Exhibition, the Whistler House Museum of Art Annual Members Exhibition, and the Academic Artists Association National Exhibition.

Holly is affiliated with Haynes Galleries and she is also affiliated with the Colored Pencil Society of America (Signature Member), the American Artists Professional League, the Portrait Society of America, and the International Guild of Realism. Her work has been published in American Art Collector, Colored Pencil Magazine, COLOR, Art Journey Portraits and Figures, Strokes of Genius, American Artist, Drawing, Rhode Island Monthly, and the Boston Globe.
