Michelle Jader approached her life as a professional artist a little differently than most. While she grew up with a sincere love for art, she parlayed her undergraduate degree into the world of business. Michelle owned a marketing consulting company for over 15 years and worked with professional artists devising campaigns to launch new products. The truth was, she enjoyed the challenges and the rewards working with Fortune 500 companies. But Michelle especially enjoyed working with those talented and creative artists. As her career progressed, she increasingly imagined a life spent creating art that wasn’t subject to unanimous team approval or validated by the number of units moved. In 2007, when the urge to be a professional artist was too strong, she took the leap and enrolled in the Academy of Art University’s graduate program, earning her MFA in 2011. Her layered painting support system was designed in 2009 after extensive trial and error. Today, her paintings can be found in homes and museums nationally and internationally. Jader resides in San Francisco and she is represented by Robert Lange Studios.
