Rose Freymuth-Frazier was born and raised in Nevada City, California. The granddaughter of German Jewish refugees, her grandfather was a psychiatrist and grandmother and mother were both artists, making her the third generation of female artist in her family. She is a graduate of The Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. From 2002 - 2004 she studied at The Art Students League of New York. In 2004 she attended a master class with Steven Assael at the New York Academy of Art and from there became his apprentice in his New York City studio from 2004 - 2006.
In 2005 she traveled to Norway to Study with Odd Nerdrum at his farm on the North Sea. Her work has been collected and exhibited internationally, notably at the Urban Nation Museum in Berlin, Germany, The Cress Gallery at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and in The American Realism Exhibition at Cavalier Galleries in New York City. She has garnered attention from publications such as Ms. Magazine, Playboy, ArtNews, American Art Collector, The Chicago Tribune, Beautiful Bizarre Magazine, Hi-Fructose and Juxtapoz. Rose lives and paints in New York City.
